Day 2
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi
After the breakfast, we will visit the ancient capital of Georgia Mtskheta, which was the capital of the eastern kingdom of Georgia – Iberia, from the third century BC till the 5th century AD. We will visit “Jvari” monastery (6th-7th centuries) situated on an elevated location, towering the old capital of the country.
Next we will stop in Mtskheta and visit “Svetitskhoveli” Cathedral one of the most beautiful churches of the region. Lunch in a local restaurant. Return to Tbilisi. Leisure time and preparation for a new year celebration in the popular restaurant. Gala dinner at a restaurant with live folk, pop music & special new year performance, non-stop until the morning.
