Day 2
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Sthephantsminda – Arsha
After the breakfast departure in the direction of Kazbegi. Along the way a brief stop and exploration of Mckheta & Anunuri Medieval Castle of Aragvi Eristavi. Light lunch en route (packed lunch). Upon arrival to Stepantsminda, hike up to Gergeti (2170 m above sea level) – 2.5 hours walk.
Exploration of the temple and surrounding landscapes. Return to Stepantsminda and drive towards the village Arsha (7 km. From Stepantsminda). Accomodation and rest. Dinner at the guesthouse.
