Day 3
Kutaisi – Nokalakevi – Zugdidi – Mestia
After an early breakfast departure towards Nokalakevi, ruins of the ancient town and one of the largest archeological excavation sight in the Caucasus. Nokalakevi was a well fortified town in western Georgia, in Samegrelo region. In its heydays it also was a capital of Egrisi, yet another ancient Georgian kingdom.
Which according to legend the Argonauts had visited. Visit to the museum and the fortress. Lunch at a restaurant near the museum. After a light lunch, the group will head to Svaneti, via town of Zugdidi.
Arriving to the hotel in Mestia, the main town of Svaneti region. Leisure time. Dinner at the hotel. After dinner, second round of the quiz & a short introduction of the events, planned for the next day.
